General Plant Support Utility - 3rdShift (11pm-7:30am Sundays through Thursday nights)

Responsibilities:

The primary duties of this position are to provide support to all aspects of the packaging operation, from start-up through End of Week Cleaning. When not needed in packaging this role will provide support to any other plant function as deemed necessary. This may include sanitation, warehousing operations, meat room operations, mixing, bulk receiving, etc. If required to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions the appropriate gear will be provided.

1. Obtain a general working knowledge of all packing equipment and systems. This includes operation of the bin gates, packing scales, bag hangers, bag sealers, palletizers, and conveyors.

2. As part of packaging, you will assist in being the last line of defense in the quality and food safety of our product and bags. You will help ensure the feed is correct, the bags are correct and sealed well, and date codes are correct and legible.

3. Operational housekeeping is to be maintained at all times as prescribed by cGMP’s. Keep your work area well swept, neat, clean, and organized.

4. Be able to learn to operate a forklift following established safety rules.

5. Must be able to frequently lift 50 lbs.

6. Work in the most effective and efficient manner at all times.

7. Follow established plant safety rules.

8. Follow established rules of conduct and maintain compliance with food safety standards at all times.

9. Complete End of Week Cleaning per established SSOP’s.

10. Work overtime as required.

11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.19 per hour
