Geotechnical/Geological Engineering Data Scientist

Emprise Concepts is currently seeking highly skilled Geotechnical/Geological Engineering Data Scientists to help us drive our research and development efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for performing geotechnical analysis, developing geological and geotechnical models, and using advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning tools to extract insights and develop prediction systems.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform geotechnical analysis and analyze findings to identify patterns and trends.

· Develop geological and geotechnical models from site investigation and other data sources.

· Extract and assimilate data from multiple sources, and clean and validate the data.

· Use advanced analytics and machine learning tools to process and analyze the data for information and patterns.

· Develop prediction systems to forecast future trends and identify potential risks and opportunities.

· Assist with design and modeling, and propose solutions and strategies based on the analysis.

· Present the data in a clear manner to stakeholders and clients.

Qualifications:

· M.S. or Ph.D. in Geotechnical/Geological Engineering or a related field with a strong background in data science or computer science.

· Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision making.

· Experience working with geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, FLAC, or Phase2.

· Experience in tunneling and underground construction engineering is preferred.

· Familiarity with R and/or Python computer programming.

· Demonstrated experience in several of the following areas: numerical modeling and back-analysis, geological modeling, geostatistics, statistics, probabilistic analysis, artificial intelligence and machine learning.

· Experience with managing and querying database systems is a plus.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

· Knowledge of the latest technology trends and best practices in geotechnical and geological engineering.

· Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $80,000-$120,000 / year, based on qualifications and experience.
