This position is a 100% traveling position to various US States and entails completing utility service point surveys as part of a larger team in various states across the United States. Field Technicians will have routes dispatched daily and will follow routing to capture sub-meter GPS data points for each account dispatched.

Successful candidates will be trained in the proper use of GNSS / GIS technology and equipment, followed by working independently to collect field data. A company vehicle will be assigned for use during this project.

Under direction, the Field Technician will work independently (or in teams of 2 depending on the project) to map meter locations using Trimble Global Navigational Satellite Systems (GNSS) equipment connected to a tablet computer running the Trimble mobile application.

Responsibilities / Job Duties

· Following data collection procedures.

· Collect data and integrate with the MDM utility software (using Trimble Catalyst)

• Work in field for 8+ hours per day, outdoors during all weather conditions.
• Utilize company vehicle to travel through the project location during the day.
• Walk or stand for majority of the workday.

Requirements

• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to learn and demonstrate familiarity with utility services and meter conditions.
• Perform work safely and in compliance with all safety procedures and regulations.
• Shows a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
• Arrives to work every day in a professional manner in both dress and attitude.
• Operate a personal computer, scanner, camera, tablet, phone, and other typical office equipment.
