Job description
Job Summary
The Grounds Crew, under supervision of the assistant superintendent or foreman, is responsible for the daily set up and maintenance of the golf course.
Job Responsibilities
- Mows fairways, greens, tees, and roughs.
- Operates all types of equipment; roller, tractor-loader, aerifers, sprayers, blowers.
- May operate smaller equipment as directed by his/her supervisor.
- Ensures that the equipment cooling system is working at all times; refills fuel and oil daily; cleans equipment daily; and reports equipment problems or failures to Equipment Manager immediately.
- Provides basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by the equipment manager or assistant superintendent, and returns equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility.
- Performs other duties as directed by his/her supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of tractors and other motorized equipment.
- Ability to life 30 pounds on a consistent basis
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions.
- Must be self motivated and possess a positive attitude
- Possession of a valid driver's license
Job Availability
- Seasonal Position
- Approximate Start Date April 1, 2022 or after
- Available to work early mornings (start times range from 5:00 am - 6:00 am)
- Must be able to work weekends
- 30-40 Hours per Week
- Rate of Pay: $13.00 - $14.00/Hr - Depending on experience
