GOLF SHOP MERCHANDISER

Overview

Whitford Country Club is a premier member-owned, family oriented Country Club located in beautiful Chester County. Established in 1956, the club offers a first class golf course designed by the Gordon Brothers. The course plays host to many state and local USGA golf tournaments. In addition to an 18-hole championship golf course Whitford offers eight tennis courts, four paddle courts, a pool and other club amenities expected from a premier Country Club. Job Summary

We are seeking for a motivated and customer-focused Golf Shop Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about golf, possess excellent customer service skills, and have a positive attitude.

The Golf Shop Merchandiser will be responsible for ensuring our members and guests have an upscale and exceptional shopping experience. This position will assist with managing the daily operations of the golf shop. These duties include, but are not limited to, general merchandise and point of sale related tasks, tracking and managing special orders, answering the golf shop phone, greeting and checking in members and guests, booking tournament reservations, maintaining shop displays and overall shop appearance.

Essential Responsibilities

• Greets customers as they enter the shop and provides assistance with their needs.
• Processes sales transactions and handle cash and credit card payments.
• Maintains a clean and organized store, including restocking merchandise, dusting displays, and organizing shelves.
• Answers phones, assists with customer questions and provides product knowledge and recommendations.
• Schedules tee times and provides general information about the golf course.
• Assists with managing inventory and keeping accurate records of merchandise.
• Places, tracks, and receives all specials orders.
• Assists with coordinating and setting up special events and tournaments.
• Collaborates with other staff members to provide a positive customer experience.
• Maintains a professional appearance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an upscale retail and customer service role.
• Passion for golf and knowledge of the sport.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent required, some college coursework preferred.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
