Anticipated Vacancy 2023-2024The Glover School is seeking elementary teachers for grade 1 and 2. We have a very strong SEL program based on the PBIS framework. The ideal candidate is flexible, responsible and organized, and has experience working with students with a wide range of learning needs. We are looking for a team player, who is compassionate, supporting, and caring towards students.This is a Unit A Teacher position; compensation in accordance with collectively bargained agreement.Primary responsibilities: Create a positive and safe educational climate for students to learn in.Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.Collaborate with the kindergarten team and work weekly in a professional learning community. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.Observe and evaluate student's performance. Evaluate the progress of each student through formal and informal assessment. Promote high expectations, demonstrate a caring attitude, and establish an environment that supports social, emotional, and academic development in stud Frequently communicate with parents and caregivers about their childs progress by phone, email, in conferences, newsletters, and through report cards.
Be available for individual meetings when needed. Attend all faculty meetings and participate actively as a team member. Attend and participate in all in-service and faculty professional development days.Cover recess and other duties as assigned by the principal. Educational requirements: Must have a Bachelors Degree in Education.
A Masters degree is preferred Licensure: Must have either a Massachusetts license for Early Childhood or Elementary Education
