Leonardo’s Fast Track Programme offers you a permanent position to develop your knowledge and skills in our innovative and practical environment. What you will do
As a Graduate Project Leader in Customer Support and Service Solutions (CS3), you will be working within a dynamic, collaborative, creative Business Sector on strategically important programmes with an experienced Programme Manager or Senior Project Manager. You will complete set tasks within projects to achieve the successful delivery of a solution that is compliant with Customer, Contractual and Legislative requirements. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the effective planning and management of team performance and project schedule, cost and quality for allocated work packages.
Key Responsibility Areas
Support the Programme Manager, Senior Project Manager and Work Package Managers in the successful execution of the projects to achieve their success criteria/objectives.- Identify and manage key dependencies between members of the Integrated Project Teams (IPT), supporting business functions and areas.
- Coordinate the activities of the IPT by establishing appropriate communication mechanisms encompassing both meetings and reporting requirements.
- Maintain the tailored Lifecycle Management Framework (project plan, WBS, OBS and cost/control accounts) that governs the operation of the IPT across projects.
- Support the Project team in the preparation and presentation of Life Cycle Management reviews.
- Manage the planning and allocation of tasks, workload and deployment of team members to optimize the use of resources within changing project needs.
- Monitoring and control of all activities and costs, identifying risk and both defining and implementing corrective (or recovery) action to tackle any deviation from planned activities.
- Compilation of information to assist in the reporting of Key Performance Indicators and project status to Stakeholders and Customers.
- Support the achievement of the Project's economic-financial objectives ensuring maximum value creation throughout the entire lifecycle of the Project within the constraints and commitments agreed with the Business.

What we are looking for
Mandatory
Please note that in order to apply for this opportunity you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance. Normally this is to the level of Security Check (typically known as “SC”) for our business which includes having a minimum of 5 years permanent residency in the UK.
Qualifications
All of our roles require (a) a minimum of an upper Second class Bachelors/Integrated Masters degree, or (b) a higher degree, such as a MSc or PhD. In all cases the subject should be project management, business management, finance, mathematics, or another relevant discipline.
Highly desirable
Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of Stakeholders.- Excellent organisation, presentation and writing skills.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to think laterally
- Pro-active and results driven with a "can do" attitude
- Fully conversant with current IT/computer software packages (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Flexibility including ability and willingness to travel and visit Customer sites (occasional travel in UK and abroad).
