Job Summary
Compass Group is the largest foodservice company in the world. The Compass Creative Studio team is an in-house creative agency focused on proposal and presentation development for a range of sectors, including Levy. Headquartered in Chicago, Levy is the disruptor in defining hospitality at the most-recognized cultural, entertainment, and sports venues. With restaurant roots, Levy has created many of the country’s defining dining experiences by bringing restaurant-quality food and hospitality to places where people least expect it. Our experience includes the Super Bowl, Grammy Awards, Coachella, US Open Tennis Tournament, Kentucky Derby, and NHL, MLB, NBA, NFL, and MLS All-Star Games.
The Compass Creative Studio team is looking for a Graphic Designer to join our team. This role will be focused on the Levy sector, based in Chicago (currently working in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with Mondays and Fridays remote), and will report into the Senior Director of Creative Strategy. The Graphic Designer will support business development efforts with a passion for using creative design to tell a story. This role will bring presentations and proposals to life, designing materials from binders and packaging to logos and mockups. Success in this role involves thriving in a creative environment, while understanding the importance of deadlines and details.
What you’ll do:
- Specialize in long-format layout (editorial) and brand design
- Possess a strong design sensibility with the ability to develop a range of deliverables, including proposal and presentation design, creating brand identities (logo design), print collateral, menus, infographics, and digital communication
- Contribute to environmental design solutions that improve the guest journey through a venue and enhance in-person presentation settings
- Develop design briefs, including brand standards of potential new partners and maintain those standards end-to-end in the bid process
- Collaborate with content team and contributors across the organization to develop materials
Who you’ll be:
? An expert in Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, and PowerPoint
? A highly creative and engaged storyteller
? A strategic thinker with strong verbal and written communication skills
? Organized with an eye for detail
? Skilled at switching gears quickly, performing under pressure, and excelling in a deadline-oriented environment
? A Bachelor’s degree holder in Graphic Design, Art, Visual Communication, Visual Design, or similar
? Passionate for Hospitality and/or the Sports & Entertainment Industry (a plus)
? Have background working in an agency or start-up with similar creative, fast-paced environment (optional)
? Open to business travel for site visits or presentation support (up to 35%)
