Pentair recently acquired Manitowoc Ice, a leading provider of commercial ice makers, allowing us to enhance and deliver our total water management offerings to an expanded network of channel partners and customers, further establishing Pentair as a leader in a vast and growing industry.
We have an opportunity for a 1st shift Grid Line Operator to join our Manitowoc, WI team. Under the direction of a production supervisor, you will assemble and solder evaporators per Engineering drawings, specifications, and instructions in support of and meeting production schedules while also meeting customer quality expectations.
You will:
  • Assemble partitions and evaporators; Inspect and perform minor repair of evaporators.
  • Produce Evaporators per Safety, Quality and Efficiency standards.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Interpret and apply engineering drawings instructions and standards.
  • Operate the grid oven, washer, conveyor conveying equipment and tube bender within the parameters set forth by the operating manual(s).
  • Use various fixtures and hand tools in evaporator assembly. Lift and move tools, parts and material per prescribed methods.
  • Perform Waste Treatment procedures as required.
  • Follow and comply with all safety rules and practices.
  • Complete all needed paperwork and use a computer.
  • Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding, team-oriented environment.
Key Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 2-3 years of experience in mechanical assembly in a physical manufacturing environment and equipment operations.
  • Successfully complete all training required for certification in the Grid Line Operations within 2 months.
  • Must be able to read and work from engineering drawings, instructions, and standards.
  • Operate torch for solder repair.
  • Read and use measuring equipment.
  • Excellent Verbal Communications skills.
  • Good Organizational and Multi-tasking skills.
  • Operate computer to perform daily job functions.
