Position Available: Grounds Maintenance for Oak Park School District

Schedule: Full-Time 1st Shift, 6:30am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday

Hourly wage: $15.00/hr

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain facility grounds, which includes cleaning the yard, trimming shrubbery, raking, planting, and weeding. Cleans parking lots and driveways. Removes snow from sidewalks and driveways and spreads sand, salt or ashes to prevent slipping.
• Set up and clean up for outdoor and indoor athletic activities.
• Use approved methods and materials in cleaning and caring for assigned facility
• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping
• Operate floor equipment such as; auto floor scrubbers and vacuums
• Empty trash receptacles
• General cleaning of furniture, windows, window sills, and walls
• Stocking restrooms, janitorial closets and break rooms
• Perform complete tasks of all service requests, maintenance, and preventive equipment inspections
• Follow all safety standards as outlined in company policy and OSHA regulations.
• Additional duties as assigned or needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Some grounds experience required
• Education: High school diploma, GED or technical school certification
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a positive attitude which supports team performance and productivity.
• Valid driver’s license required (no restrictions)
• Must have team aptitude and approach.
• Must be able to pass a background check
