The role

This role is an exciting opportunity to deliver on Logicalis strategy through building alignment with Cisco global teams, evangelizing our priority initiatives, reporting to the Group VP – Strategic Alliances who holds accountability for the growth of the Cisco and Microsoft business units globally. The role requires a global alliance director who comes experienced in orchestrating Cisco alliance functions within a large Cisco partner. We have 27+ operations with aligned partner managers who will form an extended community for this person to develop towards a globally consistent engagement model with Cisco, in support of our commercial strategy and plans.

A successful candidate will work closely with the Group VP – Strategic Alliances to agree and update the 3yr plans and working closely with the regional alliance leads to ensure alignment and commitment of execution within local teams. Build out a governance model to ensure all regions are delivering against the plans, identifying opportunities to accelerate and overcoming challenges. Work with all the cross functional teams to ensure good engagement with Cisco, best practices are defined and the value from the relationship is maximized.

  • You thrive on working with different stakeholders, different cultures and different personalities to understand and guide them to work closely and more efficiently together
  • You have a passion for building high performing teams that drive success through collaboration, communication, and clarity of focus
  • You will be able to identify and understand the motivations of the key stakeholders and modify approach to ensure their engagement and support to common goals and targets
  • Significant Cisco alliance management or business development experience required, with demonstrated increasing levels of responsibilities.
  • Experience working in a global role building a coalition across the business to deliver agreed goals
  • Deeply understand Cisco’s commercial model & how to be successful as a Cisco partner, leveraging support across programs & investments.
  • Be able to build credibility within the regional teams and support the development of best practice across the group to ensure we maximize the relationship with Cisco

Accountabilities


Strategy & Planning:
Identify and own key strategic initiatives, including the roll out and management of their success. Work closely with Global VP – Strategic Alliances to define and continuously evolve business plans in collaboration with Cisco and regional teams.


Global Partner Manager Community Leadership:
Lead as subject matter expert across Cisco business platforms, programmed, and investments. Orchestrate community of Partner managers to develop best practice alliance engagement across 27+ countries around the group. Create and manage alliance maturity model which you will own and leverage to evolve each region’s engagement with Cisco towards a defined end state.


Business Management Orchestration:
Define and manage global and regional business management cadence including MBR’s and QBR’s to enable effective performance management of Cisco business within Logicalis. Engage cross functional global and regional leaders to plan effective projects across solution development, enablement, training & readiness & GTM in support of global strategy and business plan.


Commercial Ownership
: Provide Exec level views of the Cisco performance, fully understanding the why behind the numbers and providing routine and detailed performance insights to management and regional teams.


Your experience

Required:


  • Experience working in an alliance or business development role, either within the partner channel or within the Cisco partner organization
  • Good understanding of the Cisco programmed, platforms and processes
  • High level understanding of the Cisco strategy, key areas of focus and what a modern Cisco partner should be focusing on
  • Experience of managed services with Cisco including the development of CX practices and use of Partner Lifecycle services
  • Experience with Cisco of defining, agreeing and then managing the different investments options that are available
  • Demonstrate history of always looking to learn, adapt and improve, from colleagues’ partners and experience
