The AAA Club Alliance has an exciting new opportunity for a Group Travel Specialist to join the team!
The Group Travel Specialist will assist in the development and coordination of all details of club propriety travel offerings. Work closely with group department management and Travel Services Executive Management to ensure accuracy of all level of details for departures. Serve as the lead contact for all vendors and internal departments, including marketing and accounting. Fully support Travel Agents in the knowledge and selling of departures.
**This is a Hybrid position and will be eligible to work from home a couple days per week (after training and acclimation of the job) .
Work schedule: Monday and Friday work from home and Tuesday-Thursday work in office.

Key Responsibilities
With assistance of group management, create a portfolio of club priority products including itinerary planning, all pricing aspects, and vendor contracting.
Coordinate all details of the daily operations for special interest group departures.
Responsible for researching and developing contracts, and ensuring deadlines for all payments to all vendors are met.
Interface with multiple internal club departments including AAA executives and senior management, travel and club accounting, travel marketing, partnership marketing, retail management and travel agents from AAA Club Alliance and other AAA clubs.
Maintain high level relationships with key travel partners, destination management companies, and clients/hosts.
Responsible for coordination of marketing to ensure agents and clients have accurate information on all departures. This includes internal database(s), visual merchandising, club publications, email marketing, and group/department specific marketing.
Ensure the accuracy on all records and payments for both members and vendors in adherence with internal audit guidelines. Take payments and invoices for select high profile clients as needed.
Oversee sensitive and confidential information including club executives and celebrity’s financial and personal data.
Act as main booking agent when departures require booking via group department, including acting as main contact for agents and management from other AAA clubs.
Process invoices, deposits, and vendor payments. Coordinate complex tasks including multiple vendors for each departure and multiple departures simultaneously. Maintain accurate record keeping in accordance with internal audit and departmental guidelines.
Serve as in house contact before, during, and after departures. Including, but not limited to, being the emergency contact for the escort/host/personality, acting as vendor contact, managing client concerns, and working with group travel department management to ensure all items are addressed in a timely manner.
Monitor reports, both internally and vendors, for assigned groups.
Build and proof promotional flyers in the group database and profiles in Apollo.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma plus accredited Travel school (or equivalent work experience)
5 years of experience in a business environment, preferably in travel.
CTA or completion within one year of acceptance of position.
Required Skills/Competencies
Ability to function in a sales and customer service environment, handle customer/vendor inquires, and complete associated tasks.
Experience in Apollo, Globalware, as well as travel vendor booking systems including Cruising Power and POLAR highly desired.
Successfully performs in a fast paced, detail oriented, and high exposure environment.
Ability to utilize multiple technology solutions including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
