Guest Service Agent
Job description
Job Duties and Qualities Desired:
- Greet guests in a warm, friendly, welcoming manner. First impressions have the most impact.
- Acknowledge Rewards Club members and returning guests, in person or on the phone
- Enter reservations and manage guest bookings, look for up-selling opportunities and tell guests about ways to improve their stay
- Handle cash, credit cards and direct billing transactions.
- Process check-ins swiftly and efficiently – match IDs to credit cards, distribute room keys,
- Record and act on guest preferences, handle their messages, requests, questions and concerns.
- Be a trusted contact for all guests. Help them with anything from bill issues to local knowledge of restaurants, shopping, etc. Contact management when necessary
- Keep yourself and guests safe by following our safety procedures. Record and report all incidents to your immediate supervisor.
- Take pride in your appearance and place as a brand ambassador
- Always know what events and activities are on the day’s schedule
- Work closely and in tandem with your teammates.
- Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to
- Your problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so every guest leaves with great memories
- Literate and tech-savvy - you’ll need a good grasp of reading, writing, basic math and computers
- Flexibility - night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job
- You’ll have a high school diploma or equivalent. A college or university degree would be a bonus, but not essential
- Experience - ideally, you’ll have spent at least one year in a front desk or guest service position
- Auditors will be responsible for reconciling the days transactions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.50 - $13.50 per hour
