Position Title: Hatchery Worker

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Production Manager or the Order Fulfillment Manager the Hatchery Worker performs all the duties necessary to incubate, hatch, and fulfill customer orders for shipping and/or delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (is not all-inclusive)

• Load chicks into separator
• Receive and unload eggs from the delivery truck
• Place eggs on trays
• Load trays into incubators
• Transfer eggs from incubators to hatchers
• Dump product waste
• Wash all equipment
• Clean and sanitize equipment
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

• Work is performed in a consistently changing environment – hot and humid to air-conditioned rooms
• Work is performed indoors and outdoors
• Requires the ability to tolerate unpleasant odors associated with eggs and poultry of various quality
• Normal corrective vision range, ability to see color and distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols
• Frequently required to stand and walk
• Requires full range of body motion including handling, lifting, and moving heavy boxes and equipment
• This position may require heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $15.25 per hour
