HDD/Directional Drill Locator

Primary Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to work with the directional drill operator to assist the directional drilling crew ensuring the correct path and depth are being followed.

• Validate prints, prove to be accurate or inaccurate
• Read equipment signals and relay information to drill operator
• Paint, flag and take photos after locates
• Read and understand existing underground facility locates
• Identify and locate unmarked utilities
• Restore job site to the original condition

The locator will be responsible for communicating with construction crews on a day by day basis.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Pass MVR, background and drug screen
• Must be able to obtain a DOT card
• 1-year minimum experience
• Good verbal and written communications skills
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Ability to work in team environment
• Experience/ability to operate boring/trenching machines/equipment/locating
• Ability to listen to and implement directions
• Ability to work in austere environments (cold, hot, early, late, extended hours)
• Ability to work manually with one’s body all day (digging trenches by hand or machine)
• Ability to travel and work within the US if needed as the business demands

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
