Responsibilities: Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc., the leading commercial lines claims services provider in the North America, is seeking a senior executive leader for liability operations. As a key member of the North America leadership team reporting to the Executive Vice President, Claims, the ideal candidate will lead the daily operations and technical oversight of GB’s general liability, auto liability and property claims offices. As the leader of the North America Liability Claims Practice, the candidate will be ultimately responsible for the performance of this dynamic and varied operation of 1,300+ claims professionals and management staff. This role will drive achievement of line of business goals and objectives and deliver upon key metrics across quality, regulatory compliance, productivity, efficiency and talent development. This individual help evolve best-in-class technical claim handling practices and serve as an important and visible interface for GB’s most important clients and business partners. The individual will serve in this role as part of the dynamic and growth-oriented North American Leadership team and bring a collaborative and creative problem-solving mindset consistent with the rich and highly-valued Gallagher culture. The successful candidate must operate across a wide range of insurance products and exposures including general liability, auto liability, and property. As such, the role requires strong core knowledge of core P&C products as well as the technical and operational levers required to manage a high-quality, highly-productive and growing organization. Our diversified portfolio of customers and products requires the ability to credibly interface with risk managers of large commercial enterprises, chief claims officers of our carrier partners, and the principals of key MGAs and captive managers. Key Functions/Responsibilities of the Position Manage the performance of a diverse and varied operating footprint of 1,300+ claims professionals across 15 operating hubs in the US and Canada with an acute lens on key operational metrics Lead the development, communication, and execution of the North America Liability Practice strategy and annual operating plans, in line with GB’s North American and Global strategic objectives. Collaborate with the North American Leadership team to develop and achieve intermediate and longer term strategic goals Communicate performance and results through well-crafted and data-supported executive presentations to the North American Leadership team and GB’s Global Executive team during monthly business reviews Partner and collaborate with Sales as the Liability Technical expert on business development opportunities Partner and collaborate with Client Services to address the most pressing strategic and operational objectives of our clients’ claims programs Support GB’s reputation in the market by being a visible and active participant in key client and business partner forums Maintain full accountability for productivity, quality, efficiency and regulatory compliance across the Liability Practice operations Identifying, recruit, retain, and develop top talent with strong succession plans Qualifications: Qualifications 15+ years of operations management experience in scale P&C Insurance operations in North America In-depth knowledge of core P&C Commercial Insurance products, including general liability, auto liability and property Proven experience managing and driving optimized loss costs over time through technical practice evolution and management execution Extensive experience engaging with brokers and customers Ability to develop and execute a strategy across multiple lines and disciplines, assessing options for growth and operational efficiency Proven track record of excellent leadership and team building skills to foster a high performance culture Strong analytical and leadership skills with proven experience leading diverse, high-performing teams Demonstrated ability to organize, lead and get work done collaborating with others Ability to travel up to 50% of time, as needed As an effective team member, employees at Gallagher Bassett must champion the values outlined in the Gallagher Way which include: Professional Excellence Teamwork and Support for Our Teams Empathy and Professional Courtesy A Competitive and Aggressive Mindset Adherence to the Highest Standards of Moral Ethical Behavior U.S. Eligibility Requirements: Interested candidates must submit an application and resume/CV online to be considered Are you 18 years of age or older or can you demonstrate legal capacity to enter a contract?
