Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of kitchen machinery, daily food ordering and preparation, set-up of serving lines, and clean-up/sanitation of kitchen and cafeteria to pass inspections. Possesses good hygiene. Thorough ability to comply with district and USDA regulations for food preparation, serving, safe storage, and sanitation. Ability to keep accurate records, do general math, determine food portion Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED and minimal experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Special Requirements ASFSA certification desirable Physical Requirements: This work requires the frequent exertion of up to 25 pounds of force and occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; work regularly requires standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle or feel and tasting or smelling, frequently requires speaking or hearing, reaching with hands and arms, lifting and repetitive motions and occasionally requires stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling and pushing or pulling; no special vision is required; no special vocal communication skills are required; no special hearing perception is required; work requires visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts and operation.
