Job Title: Head Softball Coach
Location: Mayville, ND
Compensation: $33,200-$58,000 based on education and experience
Benefits: Includes: single or family health care coverage (premiums paid for by the university), basic life insurance, EAP, retirement plan, tuition waiver, annual and sick leave.

Position Information:
Mayville State University is seeking candidates for a Head Softball Coach. This is an eleven-month, benefit eligible position. The purpose of this position is to support and enhance the direction of the Mayville State University Athletic Department and the Softball program. As the Head Softball Coach, the incumbent will be responsible for oversight and administration of all aspects of the Softball program which will include coaching, recruiting, player development, fundraising, event management, compliance, budget management, and developing a positive culture. Positions is also responsible for the game management of other sports in the off season.
Mayville State University competes in the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) of the NAIA. MaSU currently offers 8 sports; 4 for men and 4 for women. Mayville State is located between Fargo, ND and Grand Forks, ND.

- Must have a strong commitment to the development and success of student-athletes.
- Must have exemplary ethical conduct and a commitment to follow all applicable NAIA and North Star Conference rules and regulations.
- Must have the ability to work effectively in a collaborative effort to maintain the mission, vision and objectives of the athletics department.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or experience to the equivalent (completion of degree may be condition of renewal)
- Three years of previous experience coaching at the collegiate level.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends and travel as required.
- Knowledge and skill to evaluate and assess student-athletes’ skills and abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree
- Previous head coaching experience
- Previous experience at a scholarship institution
