Hudson Valley Swim, a premium swim school with many locations. Our Southern CT locations areseeking a skilled and reliable Aquatics Director/Senior Swim Instructor to be the lead for both our Stamford and Stratford facilities. The successful candidate will oversee the swim program, coordinating and administering swim classes, training, and scheduling instructors, ensuring adherence to thecurriculum, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all swimmers.

Please note,we do pay for training.

Location:

Ideally, we would want someone who could work at both locations.

· LA Fitness in Stamford, CT. Available shifts include approximately 9:00am-2pm, 3:00pm-8:00pm and weekend shifts Sat and Sun 9:00am-3:00pm.

· Esporta Fitness in Stratford, CT. Weekday shifts include approximately9:00am-2pm, 3:00pm-8:00pm and weekend shifts Sat and Sun 9:00am-3:00pm. This is a new location for us so the program will start smaller and build into a 7-day/week offering.

** Hours for both locations will vary based on demand **

Responsibilities:

· Teach swim lessons to students of all ages and abilities, ranging from 6 months to adults.

· Train and supervise instructors, providing ongoing support and feedback to ensure high-quality instruction.

· Coordinate instructor scheduling and substitute coverage, ensuring adequate coverage for all classes.

· Maintain curriculum, ensuring that all instructors adhere to our standard.

· Assist with customer service, including answering questions, resolving issues, and registering students for classes.

· Coordinate student make-up classes.

· Learn registration system to make changes to classes, register students, log makeups, send certificates of completion.

· Monitor safety, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all students.

· Maintain accurate records, including attendance, progress reports, and instructor evaluations.

· Ensure instructors maintain their attendance records and skill evaluations for each class.

· Participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities.

· Provide excellent teaching technique, commitment, promptness, responsiveness, and people skills.

· Co-teach with one of our senior instructors until proficient with our program prior to "owning" own schedule.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 5 years of experience as a swim instructor (required)

· WSI certification is preferred, but extensive teaching experience will be considered.

· Lifeguard, CPR/First Aid certification strongly preferred.

· Experience training and supervising swim instructors (required)

· High School degree or equivalent (preferred)

· Strong organizational and communication skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

· Bilingual in Spanish/English strongly preferred.

· Flexibility to work varying shifts, including mornings, days, and evenings (required)

· Ability to work at both Stamford and Stratford locations.

· Experience teaching infants, children, teens, special needs, and competitive swimmers

· Pay will be based on experience, and we offer both full-time and part-time positions. The ideal candidate will be passionate, reliable, and dedicated to providing high-quality swim instruction and excellent customer service.
