JOB DESCRIPTION

HEAD TEACHER-LEAD CAREGIVER: INFANTS .

Supervises a program with responsibility for its effective functioning. Assumes leadership for program planning, child assessments, parent interaction and staff development. Has an affinity for and desire to work with infants.

Qualifications

• Education: AA Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Experience: Three (3) years
• Education: BA/BS Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field Experience: One (1) year

Responsibilities

• Supervision and scheduling of all personnel in the program.
• Participation in planning and implementation of an in-service training program for

the staff in the program.

• Development of a program which enhances the social, emotional, mental and

physical development of children.

• Implementation of a parent program that achieves maximum school and home

cooperation.

• Maintenance of an attractive, clean, safe, and orderly facility.
• Carry out necessary record keeping to meet administrative needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• East Chicago, IN 46312: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Early childhood education: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Child Development Associate Certification or Above (Required)
