Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Support Worker to join a dynamic team to work alongside a registered Nurse to provide care and
support to patients across the borough of Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale.
The post holders will contribute to the provision of nursing support as directed by the registered Nurse during the paired visits. The work is varied
and interesting.
We are looking for an individual who is reliable, flexible, has good interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment of caring for people, able to
communicate effectively with other staff, patients and relatives, both face to face and on the telephone. You will have basic computer skills or a
willingness to learn, and have an understanding of the importance of team working.
You must have the ability to travel to patient’s homes and healthcare sites around the community.

Main duties of the job

To escort the Registered Nurse over night to visit patients as requested.
To contribute to the provision of nursing care as directed by the registered nurse during these visits.

  • Literacy - to read and understand instructions

  • IT skills basis computer skills or willing to learn
  • Able to demonstrate understanding of importance of team work
  • Previous experience in a health care setting
  • CAR DRIVER
