Verve Counseling & Wellness is looking to expand and add to our team! We are looking for a Wellness Coach. We are looking for someone who is hard-working, eager to grow, and has great communication skills with both the internal team and external clients. We are looking for a versatile highly skilled Nurse Practitioner with clinical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Achieve/Maintain Health Goals through using available resources and performing one's own research.
• Create a customized plan for exercise and nutrition goals beginning with a fitness and nutrition assessment that addresses fitness level, medical history, lifestyle, age, weight and height (BMI), genetics, and eating patterns.
• Support clients through the entire process of reaching their nutrition goals through motivation, accountability and supply of information about healthy eating livestyles.
• Provide clients with the tools to achieve long-term nutrtion results by making small, gradual changes in their lives.
• Create a healthy lifestyle that is personally tailored to each client by combining proven evidence based practices with each individual's preferences and experiences.
• Acts as the nutrition education resource for the customers & team
• Provides Nutrition Education

a. Offers in office nutrition and recipe demonstration classes
b. Offers outreach nutrition classes
c. Provides regular trainings
d. Respond to questions and review summaries

• Provides private individual one-on-one health coaching sessions
• Works to build community relationships (practitioner partners for referrals, Guest presenters, event partners, etc.)
• Seeks outreach opportunities (to provide nutrition education and build brand awareness)
• Maintains Continued Education requirements

a. Reads and reviews research
b. Completes CE assignments

• Assists management with coordinating, organizing, and executing companywide events
• Responsible for printing materials used in classes, outreach, and group sessions
• Create an environment of positive reinforcement and encouragement.
• Ensure client's success by providing actionable advice that applies to everyday life.
• Assist with other tasks as needed

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree Required, preferably in health sciences, health education, behavioral science, or social science
• A minimum of 6 months-1 year of Health or Wellness coaching experience
• Motivational interviewing

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

• McKinney, TX 75069: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
