The Health Coach Consult role requires an RN with an unrestricted active compact RN license.
This role is a fully remote, work from home position and is 32 hours per week (four shifts of 8 hours per shift including every other weekend) on the Day shift.
Normal Working Hours: This 32-hour work week Day shift position has a start time of 9:30am EST. The days of the week will vary and will include working every other weekend. The schedule will be established after orientation is completed and will remain a set schedule unless the business need changes or the employee asks for a change. The role also requires the Health Coach Consultant to work 4 holidays per year.
The 24-Hour Nurse Line is part of Aetna’s Commercial Care Management division and provides a telephone-based information and decision support program to eligible members.
At the 24-Hour Nurse Line, the Health Coach Consultant utilizes a collaborative process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to engage, educate, and promote/influence members decisions related to achieving and maintaining optimal health status.
No travel is expected in this role.

Maximum: 125,840

Health Coach Consultant is responsible for the following:
- Facilitates effective health care decision-making.
- Improves the quality of care.
- Improves member satisfaction with their health care plan.
- Facilitates appropriate use of health care resources.
- Provides up-to-date health care information to help facilitate members’ understanding of their health problems and possible options.
- Provides assistance by clarifying available options for the member's particular health problem or issue.
- Helps members actively and knowledgeably participate with their provider in their own health care decision-making.
- Promotes healthy lifestyles to help lower personal health risks, preventing illness.
- Awareness of the member’s available health and wellness programs and makes referrals to these programs as appropriate.
In addition to the required qualifications, the ideal candidate will:
- Enjoy working with computers and evolving technology, prefer online resources over printed documents and excel at keyboarding.
- Have telephone experience in the nursing field, especially telephone triage, emergency room, and/or urgent care experience.
- Want to work every other weekend, every Friday and 4 Holidays per year.
- Can complete 6 weeks Mon-Fri orientation on a variable daytime schedule.
- Applies a broad clinical experience to at times complex issues, ensuring a positive member experience.
- Self-motivated and want to expand their knowledge base while applying excellent communication skills.
- Is a leader of people and process improvement and want to make a difference in people's lives.
- Do the right things for the right reason in all interactions.

Required Qualifications
- Must have an active and unrestricted compact RN licensure in the state that you reside; Must reside in a compact state.
- 3+ years of clinical experience required, specifically in: Disease Management, Emergency Room, Critical Care, Medical/Surgical Care, Oncology.
- 3+ year(s) of experience with personal computers, keyboard and multi-system navigation, and MS Office Suite applications (ex. Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint) required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Managed Care experience
- Coaching experience
- Telephone triage nursing experience.
- Candidate with a Puerto Rico license
Education
