Following a recent review, the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust has introduced a new post for people wishing to develop a career in Health, Safety, Security and Fire (HSSF) management. The successful applicant will work directly with an experienced HSSF practitioner and have the opportunity to undertake formal qualifications in health, safety, security and fire management if not already held.
The successful postholder will be able to demonstrate the ability to work well within a small team, working closely with the Senior HSSF Practitioner and across the wider HSSF team. The ability to build and sustain strong collaborative working relationships with Operational Management and Estates, Fleet and Facilities Management teams, amongst others internal and external to the trust, is a fundamental skill that will be explored through your application form personal statement and at interview.
The HSSF Officer postholder will be integral to continuing to build and sustain HSSF proactive safety culture across the trust. The successful applicant will with the Senior HSSF Practitioner provide competent advice and guidance to trust staff ensuring the most reasonably practicable and safe working environments for our staff, patients, and the public. This will include ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
