Responsible for the primary day-to-day accounting/financials. Serve as the liaison for Health & Wellness (H&W) executives, focused on accounting, reporting, forecasting and budgeting for financial lines owned by retail pharmacy, including sales, gross, division administrative expenses and other income and expense. Oversee the H&W financial analyst and staff accountant, the performance of against Brand & Generic Effective Rates (BER/GER) guarantees and Direct and Indirect Remuneration (DIR) clawbacks, ensuring compliance with all accounting and company policies/procedures within the designated areas. Essential Job Functions

• Engage division executives, department heads and regional CFO on financial performance relative to sales, store operating expenses and division costs, with a focus on controllable costs
• Partners with senior H&W leaders to prepare budget specific to retail pharmacy, looks at historical results, industry trends, areas of expansion, areas of closures, and future business plans to provide estimates of future performance
• Oversee the calculation of high level estimates throughout the year, testing any assumptions, risks and what has to be true to deliver on the plan
• Model capital projects determining return on investment (ROI)
• Collaborate with regional CFO on forecasting, and data gathering for capital projects; prepare and monitor underperforming division action plans
• Close H&W's books each period, including performance of detailed review of key financial line details
• Support area directors, Health & Wellness Leaders, and regional CFOs by answering financial questions, performing new hire/training, assisting with Travel & Expense (T&E) compliance and administration as appropriate, and participating in division and district meetings
• Evaluate division financial statements for inconsistencies with generally accepted accounting principles and corporate accounting policies within the designated areas
• Maintain control environment that supports complete/accurate financial reporting, including support/execution of division controls identified as key purposes of Sarbanes-Oxley
• Perform accounting responsibilities for division-specific financial transactions
• Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
• Travel approximately 10% to divisions

Minimum Position Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in relational databases and/or data visualization software (Essbase, Tableau, PowerBi)
• Knowledge and experience of applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Familiarity with budgeting processes and evaluation of actual results to plan
• Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects
• Ability to manage direct reports through proactive, constructive communication

Desired Previous Experience/Education
