The Healthcare Banking Specialist is responsible for the onboarding, servicing, and relationship management of the referred professional practice clientele. These clients will be managed virtually and will be spread across the National footprint. Proactively consult the business owners in achieving their financial goals by providing smart financial solutions for personal and business needs. Serve as a trusted advisor for businesses; collaborate with a team of product and retail partners utilizing the One Bank Sales Cycle to understand the clients' holistic business needs. Through such collaboration, develop revenue growth opportunities by identifying and providing needs based solutions and services to the client. Services would include loans, deposits, treasury management, and all other applicable banking services.
As a Provide and Fifth Third Bank team member, you will be responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. You will be accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the risk appetites of Provide and Fifth Third Bank, you will be expected to achieve results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
A day in the life:
- Onboard and manage referred relationships from internal partners to uncover additional lending opportunities, Treasury Solutions, Depository Accounts, Merchant Services, Payroll, Human Capital Management, among other various solutions as applicable.
- Work with product partners (Affiliate- Retail, WMA, TMO, Mortgage etc. and Bancorp- Worldpay, Paycor, etc.), analyze, evaluate, and develop a tailored relationship strategy for each client.
- Responsible for the written analysis, recommendation, and coordination with Middle Office to prepare loan documents.
- Coordinate loan closing, packaging, servicing and if necessary, the liquidation of Professional Practice loans to conform with the Bank's policies and regulatory compliance.
- Balance Risk and Return measured by any charge offs that result in loss of income within the first 12 months. Also actively engage with credit and risk management partners to follow policy and processes, including servicing and liquidation requests as needed.
- Utilize LOB Playbook and Consultative Sales behaviors to be a trusted advisor to our clients resulting in strong client experience (internally and externally) retention/penetration and One Bank execution.
- Effectively retain and grow long-term, profitable, Lead client relationships, with in-footprint, and out-of-footprint customers across the country.
- Cross-sell all applicable Fifth Third Bank products and services to an existing portfolio of business customers and their owners/senior management with the ultimate goal of being clients' lead or primary bank.
- Establish yourself as the one point of contact for all client needs, which includes working with product partners, client servicing, problem resolution, and timely follow up.
- Gain a strong understanding of the client’s current needs, by asking high gain questions, and proactively listening to their needs, to gain a better understanding of the client’s overall objectives. All these activities are accomplished through delivering a concierge approach within managing & onboarding the client relationship.
- Coordinate all virtual client related activities including credit support and with other product partners.
- Conduct thorough effective pre-call planning, One Bank Consultative Sales approach, and prompt post-call follow up.
- Utilize the Bank's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for client activity tracking, call reports and pipeline management.
- Partner with Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers (Business Loan Center and Central Credit Utility) on credit requests and adhere to established Portfolio Management guidelines
Our newest teammate will have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience and minimum of 1 years managing business banking or commercial relationships preferred. Virtual/Remote client management experience also desired.
- Proven ability to build new and existing client business and provide a positive client experience.
- Extensive knowledge of non-credit products required.
- Knowledge of commercial & Treasury Management services as well as alternative lending and financial options.
- Ability to assess client needs, drivers of profitability, and corporate/personal life cycle optimizing financial solutions.
- Uses effective problem solving and analytical skills with ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills, with particular emphasis on experience in phone-based negotiations and presentations.
- Champions the Bancorp vision and core values through personal actions and leadership influence to promote high-performing work groups. Proven ability to work in a team-based sales environment.
- Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office software; familiarity with prospecting and CRM sales tools preferred.
