EQUANS is looking for a Helpdesk Operator / Call Handler to join our team at University Hospital North Durham, DH1 5TW. This is a 6-months, temporary role on a zero hour contract working up to 37.5 hours a week. On offer is a salary of £10.37 per hour.

What will you deliver?

As Helpdesk Operator / Call Handler you’ll be providing an effective, efficient, and responsive Switchboard service for the Durham and Darlington Acute Hospital Trust. Working under the direction of the Service Supervisor and Management staff, as Helpdesk Operator / Call Handler you’ll provide a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors to the hospital.

Operate the switchboard console and bleep system
Respond to a high volume of outgoing and incoming calls
Responsible for the completion of doctors on call rotas

Who are we looking for?

Excellent communication skills
Computer Literate
Experience in a contact centre / call centre / customer service environment desirable

This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
