Hartford HealthCare Independence at Home has a number of Nursing Assistant positions available. We are seeking Nursing Assistants dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate care and assistance to clients in their homes.

Nursing Assistants provide a variety of healthcare and general wellness duties to client's who rely on our care. These duties may include personal hygiene and grooming care; Assistance with toileting, ambulation, etc.; Providing meals for clients' nutritional needs; Reporting changes in clients' condition to supervisor, or client care coordinator; Performing routine housekeeping and home management duties; Recording each client's care on care plan and submitting care plan in a timely manner; Assisting with providing emotional support for the clients and their families; Assisting with routine therapy exercises; Participating in case conferences as requested; Attends all required in-service education sessions.

Independence at Home is committed to keeping our colleagues and clients safe. We provide our workforce with masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and antibacterial hand soap. We also have each caregiver complete a daily online health screening, including temperature checks, prior to entering a home for work shift. We also complete health screenings with potential clients during the intake call and again prior into going to the home for a case opening.

Qualifications

Minimum of one year work experience as a PCA preferably in home care, or in a hospital or facility; Good housekeeping and home management skills; Good communication skills and a helpful attitude.

Candidates must have CURRENT and VALID Driver's License in good standing along with reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance.
