Sterling Home Technologies has an immediate need for a Security Technician to install, program, maintain and repair residential security alarm wiring and equipment and ensure work is in accordance with relevant codes.

Sterling Home Technologies has an office in Boerne, Texas and is also part of Captive Audio located in Austin, Texas. This position is based in Boerne, Tx. We provide high-end audio/video, lighting control, security and home automation services in Central Texas.

This position has a 4 day-10 hour a day schedule (Monday - Thursday).

Essential Duties:

• Wire routing in walls, stud-bays, attic and or crawl spaces
• Cleanly Install, maintain, or repair security systems, alarm devices, and related equipment
• Cleanly Install control panels, door and window contacts/sensors and video cameras
• Troubleshoot, test, and repair circuits and sensors following wiring and system specifications
• Program security systems and test all functions including carbon and smoke detectors
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network related problems
• Identifies and resolves problems for many types of service calls - both routine, and non-routine, scheduled maintenance calls and emergency and after-hours service calls on a timely basis to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace parts and debug systems for routine problems
• Install projects as needed
• Stay abreast of related products

Successful applicants should have the following experience and attributes:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 2 years working knowledge with DSC security systems
• Basic understanding and ability to read and interpret blueprints, building floor plans and wiring diagrams.
• Alarm.com experience preferred
• Texas Security License a plus
• Fire License a big plus
• Self-driven and motivated

This position has a 4 day-10 hour a day schedule (Monday - Thursday).

Must have valid Driver License and clean driving record.

Pre-employment Drug Screen and Background Check done

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
