Looking for a summer job? The Baltimore Country Club is seeking a seasonal Horticulture Crew Member to join our team. This individual will assist in providing an exceptional experience for our members through attentive care of the gardens and grounds.

Responsibilities will include working alone or as part of a team in the following tasks:

• Walk mowing, blowing, and string trimming
• Seasonal garden maintenance, including raking, mulching, watering, weeding
• Planting and pruning of a wide variety of annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees
• Cleaning and preventative maintenance of equipment and facilities
• Ensuring safety and professionalism in all operations

On-the-job training will be provided for best practices in the above areas of responsibility, but interested candidates must be able to lift up to 50lbs, bend at the hips and knees, and perform tasks with agility and stamina in a variety of weather extremes. The candidate must be able to follow instructions, use good common sense, and have a positive, gracious attitude when working amid the membership and functions of the day. This position will work about 20 hours per week. This could be a great summer job for an energetic high school student! Uniforms are provided, and a clean, neat appearance must be maintained at all times. Some landscaping experience is preferred, along with Spanish language skills, but a good attitude and willingness to work hard are all you really need to be successful.
