Demonstrated recent experience/knowledge with hands-on patient care (i.e. Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, EMT, CNA, Rehab Aid, or Patient Transport/Lift)
- Demonstrated basic computer skills and the ability/willingness to learn additional computer programs and systems (i.e. email, Excel, Word, MS. Office, etc.)

Advanced judgement skills

Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with hospital staff in a clear, concise, professional manner

Skill in organizing written material

Knowledge of appropriate information required for patient and supply record keeping

Skills and ability to work in stressful situations

Tact and diplomacy skills

Ability to provide and accept guidance and criticism

Leadership skills

Must be able to perform all responsibilities as required and assigned by PM&R (Physical Medicine and Rehab) Leadership

Must see well enough to observe patient reactions and read relevant monitors, relevant device settings and relevant written information such as the patient medial record

Must hear and speak well enough to communicate with patients and staff throughout the day
-
Must possess the physical strength to assist with patient mobility
-
Must possess sufficient mobility to traverse the distances required and serve patients throughout the institution

Must be able to work assigned weekends and holidays as determined by the department
-
Must be able to work in the Acute Care and Inpatient Rehabilitation settings, or any other UCDH site as needed
-
This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
