We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hospital Development Officer to join our team at a reputable, 150+ bed acute care hospital located in Southwestern Connecticut.

As a Hospital Development Officer, you will play a crucial role in building mutually beneficial, long-term partnerships between our hospital and individual donors. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of new and existing donors through the Grateful Patient program and other initiatives.

We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of three to five years of demonstrated experience, success, and progressive responsibility in fundraising. Prior healthcare experience is required, and proficiency in Raiser's Edge database and Microsoft Office Suite is a must. In addition, you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail.

As a member of our Development team, you will have the opportunity to participate in after-hours community events and assist in the creation of a strategic plan for the individual donor program for the Development Fund as a whole. You will also be responsible for initiating and maintaining contact with current, past, and prospective donors, promoting positive donor relations through public and private recognition activities and events.
