Description
The Faraway House Person is someone passionate about the guest experience and enjoys a fast-paced work environment. The responsibilities include maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and assisting the room attendants with all duties. This role is integral in executing a comfortable and enjoyable guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Daily tasks include stripping and making beds, removing trash, replenishing terry and amenities, maintaining housekeeping closets and assisting with laundry and housekeeping as needed.
- Complete touch-ups to public spaces on a daily basis
- Assist with unloading and loading of linens at the dock and at the Hotel property
- Follow all established department cleaning standards and safety procedures.
- Properly communicate maintenance repair needs and safety hazards to supervising team members.
- Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned and requested to meet the needs of the business.
Ideal Candidate
- Knowledge of proper cleaning practices and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong attention to completing tasks quickly and efficiently.
- Genuine desire to be helpful: able to jump in and assist other departments when necessary.
- Enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
- Works well in a team environment, as well as alone.
Requirements & Experience
- Clear understanding of the English language (verbal and written).
- Ability to professionally clean and prepare up to 10 rooms per day according to hotel cleanliness standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand, up to 8 hours per shift.
- Effective time management skills in order to ensure completion of all assigned tasks.
- Communication skills and ability to listen effectively.
- Attention to detail to detect room cleanliness and discrepancies.
Salary
$18 - $20 per hour
