Ellis Island Casino, Hotel & Brewery is looking for a new Hotel Maintenance Technician! We have over 800 hard-working and passionate employees between our 17 locations. Position Summary

The primary responsibility of a Maintenance Technician is to evaluate and execute all repairs to all equipment in the Casino & Village Pub’s. And to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all Facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and cooling/ heating systems.
• Skilled with a variety of hand and power tools.
• Must pass a background check.

Essential Functions

Daily Duties:

• Arrive at Ellis Island to check Tavern Net for new Maintenance tickets and follow up on any existing tickets and make follow up calls.
• Prints new tickets and review with the Maintenance Manager.
• Go to locations and make repairs as required.
• Communicates with Location Manager to close tickets once completed.
• While at Location does a walkthrough of property noting any issues without a ticket - lighting, upholstery etc.

Monthly Duties:

• Follow A/C filter changing schedule.
• Follow a Yellow Grease Bin power washing schedule.
• Follow Back flow Valve service, ensure all back flow devices are properly tagged and inspected.
• Verify Fire extinguisher to ensure all Fire Extinguishers are properly tagged and inspected.
• Verify Ansul System to ensure all Ansul Systems are properly tagged and inspected.
• Follow HVAC Coil Cleaning schedule by property to ensure coil cleaning is performed in a timely manner.
• Follow Low Temp. Refrigeration Coil Cleaning schedule to ensure cleaning is performed in a timely manner.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to:

• Lift 50 lbs.
• Climb ladders with tool belt.
• Carry necessary tools and equipment up and down ladder to and from roof tops.
• Use power tools.
• Use a Drain Snake.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Bend and work underneath sinks and kitchen equipment.
• Carry necessary tools and hardware to job sight.

• Use Power washing machine.
• Achieve continued education.
