The Best Western Plus located just north of the Grand Strand Hospital is looking for a full-time Maintenance Engineer. We are looking for a "take charge kinda" person, with a "can do" attitude. Experience in hotel maintenance is a huge plus but definitely not a deal breaker. We are looking for someone with a strong attention to detail, a good solid work ethic, and upstanding morals to be part of our Best Western family.

• Carry out assigned tasks from the General Manager while working hand and hand with the front desk and housekeeping departments.
• Execute special projects that are assigned to you.
• Maintain grounds and common areas to ensure they are operational, safe, and clean for our guests.
• Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped
• Troubleshoot issues with HVAC system, lighting, and indoor climate control as necessary
• Receive work orders and determine what parts, equipment, and services are needed to perform necessary maintenance and repair work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
• Ability to stand, walk, regularly bending, pushing, pulling, carrying for your entire shift.
• Work weekends and holidays when needed
• Basic English communication skills
• Ability to lift 60 pounds without assistance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
