Job description
SUMMARY:
To be responsible for the overall cleanness of the physical apartment complex under the supervision of the property manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but not limited:
- Daily sweeping and trash pick-up in the parking lot and lawn areas to assure a constant litter-free and well-maintained property
- Daily cleaning of the laundry room(s)
- Daily cleaning of the swimming pool area and testing and maintenance of the pool water according to local Health Department specification; adding the mixing chemical as needed.
- Daily cleaning of additional common areas, as they may apply (business center, fitness room, clubhouse, office etc.)
- Remove trash out of vacated units as directed by the manager
- Distribute printed material as required by the manager and assist the maintenance staff whenever possible
- Show concern for work-safety program
- Assist maintenance supervisor to work on weekly, monthly, quarterly PROPERTY maintenance jobs
- Participate in a standby emergency schedule for evening, weekend and holiday coverage
- Maintain knowledge on all equipment based on the manufacturer’s recommendations and operating manuals
- Periodically inspect all units, buildings and common areas, performing janitorial assistance as scheduled
- Maintain adequate stock of supplies and materials, assure workshop/storage areas are organized, clean and safe
- Awareness of safety on all equipment and perform necessary policy and rules to ensure our safety of employees
- Report any abnormal situation to the manager
- Ability to assist the resident manager in any area where needed.
- Professional appearance with GPI uniform or badge
- Have a positive, willingness and passion for your job
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience: Must possess and demonstrate skills in cleaning (previous experience preferred in an apartment or residential cleaning).
- Language skills: Ability to read and write interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
