Description:
Housekeeping- Sparks
Hours will be Mon - Friday. Either 7:00am - 3:00pm or 8:00am - 4:00pm.
Position Objective:
- This position is accountable for performing day-to-day cleaning of processing equipment, associated venting, and site structures.
- Key emphasis will be placed on maintaining the dust level below OSHA standards for dust accumulations.
- Ensure cleanliness of areas are maintained during processing activities.
- Communicate and interact daily with other Site Supply personnel to produce and deliver the finest quality seed possible.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Sweep floors as needed to maintain cleanliness.
- Wipe Ducting, beams, and rails as necessary to remove dust.
- Empty trash containers as necessary.
- Communicate with other departments for cleaning activities.
- Assist with a variety of cleans to prevent cross-contamination.
- Work closely with other team members to make sure the quality of work and the quality of the seed being produced is the best in the industry.
- Cross-train for processing assignments.
- Follow policy and procedures for the task at hand.
- Assist the Shift Supervisor as directed.
- Assist in other areas of the site as needed. (Seed returns, shipping of finished goods, etc.)
- Assist in Delinting as needed.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Maintain the seed equipment.
- Follow all OSHA safety rules and regulations to promote a safe working environment (e.g., Confined Space procedures, LOTO procedures, Climbing Ladders, etc?)
- Participate and retain safety training and apply to daily operations.
- Performs other duties as directed by the Site Manager, Plant Manager, and Shift Supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet cleaning schedules.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to follow instructions, schedules and safety instructions.
