We are hiring a Housekeeping Coordinator
As the Housekeeping Coordinator you directly oversee housekeeping, laundry and house person team members. You are a significant part of the properties management team and work closely with the Front Desk and Maintenance Departments to ensure the guest experience goes off without a hitch. You take complete ownership of the property’s cleanliness from the guest rooms to the public areas. You work with your team members and the other departments to not only meet the property’s high cleanliness and productivity standards, but to make sure everything is kept in proper working order and drive guest service levels.
As a Housekeeping Coordinator, you model the behaviors and actions that you expect from your team. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, professionalism, passion for training, ability drive productivity and to anticipate your teams and the guest’s needs while staying calm and focused during busy and stressful periods is critical.
You are a coach and mentor to your team, while still holding them accountable for their results. You are in turn accountable for the entire housekeeping department. From onboarding, training, leading, mentoring, performance management and succession planning, you support your teams development while meeting the needs of the guest and achieving the companies goals.
- Train, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with Concord Hospitality.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas and grounds for cleanliness, appearance, and safety.
- Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and service and resolve guests’ complaints and concerns.
- Observe and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Open House, assign boards to rooms attendants, and assign task to housemen.
- Oversee Laundry and ensure the correct washing/drying methods are being executed. Maintain an effective reclaim program.
- Take inventory and submit periodic inventory orders to ensure supplies are purchased timely.
- Prepare required paperwork pertaining to departmental functions.
- Be aware of and communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction.
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to Brand.
- Practice safe work habits; follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Tasked to handle all VIP Room
- Assign guest request to housemen from GXP and additional request from the guests prearrival.
- Work alongside Engineering to ensure both deep cleaning and preventive maintenance is taking place throughout the calendar year.
- Will take lead in the case of Housekeeping Manager not present.
- Assign daily task to supervisors and oversee their performance.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Ideal candidates:
- Experience in a leadership role in hotels, hospitals, or multi-unit housing as a Housekeeping or Cleaning Supervisor with great care and attention to detail to ensure quality.
- Good communications skills, outgoing, friendly and able to speak professionally with our guests, your manager and your colleagues.
