Greenbriar Nursing Center is looking for a motivating Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our Housekeeping and Laundry Department. As the Housekeeping Supervisor, your primary role is to manage and oversee the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping and Laundry Department to ensure our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

Our ideal candidate would possess:

• Associates Degree
• 3 years of supervisory experience (required), preferably in a Nursing Facility

Responsibilities

• Organize the structures of the housekeeping and laundry departments, delegating responsibility as needed
• Recruit, hire, and orientate housekeeping and laundry personnel
• Develop, conduct, and schedule in-service training for all housekeeping and laundry staff
• Develop, implement, and evaluate and direct the housekeeping and laundry departments and their programs and activities
• Oversee the purchasing of cleaning supplies, chemicals, paper products, and departmental equipment as needed to meet departmental demand
• Perform regular environmental inspections in order to ensure the facility is maintained in a safe and sanitary manner according to facility policy.
• Ensure assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable manner free from hazardous objects, equipment, or supplies.

Please note this role is subject to call back during emergency conditions (ie. Severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.)
