HOUSEKEEPING TEAM LEAD

We've been providing exceptional care in beautiful residential settings for over 50 years - and with a growing portfolio of care homes and care villages, we're looking for an outstanding Housekeeping Team Lead to join us at our brand new home Chapter House in Beverley.

About the Role

Reporting in to the Home Manager, it's our Housekeeping Team Lead who makes sure the environment of our Home remains exceptional. You'll help us deliver the highest quality person-centred care and work closely with your housekeeping team. And like us, you'll always want to do the best you can and constantly look for ways to improve. You will:

• Ensure the housekeeping department is run efficiently and effectively
• Provide a high standard of service in our Home at all times
• Mentor and help new and less experienced members of our team
• Work closely with your housekeeping team to ensure our standards are consistently high, and in line with infection control guidelines
• Arrange appropriate staff allocation
• Communicate effectively with our staff; lead by example, setting the pace and the standard
• Ensure our residents' belongings are cared for respectfully and appropriately
• Praise and recognise good performance
• Take part in staff supervision and appraisal

About You
You're a role model to your team, mentoring less experienced and new staff, drawing on your previous housekeeping experience.
You're an inspiring and motivating leader, who strives to set and maintain high standards.
You work on your own initiative to manage problems and have the confidence to challenge and raise issues.

You're meticulous when it comes to ensuring standards across our homes are met.
Naturally, you're a caring person, and the kind who notices the little things that make a big difference to other people.
You're a team player, who's outstanding in your own field with bucket loads of respect for your colleagues.
