Job Description:


In an effort to expand opportunities for all citizens of Virginia, the HR Analyst serves to provide technical and consultative services in support of the college’s recruitment and selection processes, equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, and workforce succession planning. The position is fundamental in creating and sustaining the affirmative action plan, designed to ensure equal employment opportunity.
  • Collect, assess, analyze, and report on data for the college’s affirmative action plan. Completion of the Annual Compliance Checklist and upload required documentation to the Audit and Reporting System. Assist in drafting the plan narrative and provide the statistical data for analysis.
  • Perform outreach & recruitment efforts in support of the college’s affirmative action plan. Track outreach for analyzing reports and evaluating efforts.
  • Request Voluntary Self-Identification of Applicants and Employees per requirements (Form CC-305) and track the data.
  • Establish a process and track reasonable accommodation requests for applicants and current employees.
  • Ensures notices and posters are visible as required by law.
  • Provide training to hiring managers on the EEO/AA goals and obligations.
  • Collect, assess, analyze, and report data for the college’s workforce succession planning.
  • Other duties as assigned by the AVP, HR.

Compensation
The hiring range for this position is $26.00-$30.00 per hour, however, the actual rate will be commensurate with education and/or experience. The position is part time and as such cannot exceed 29 hours per week and is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.
Telework
According to DHRM policy 1.61 Teleworking, effective July 5, 2022, Virginia state employees will return to the workplace. Consistent with pre-pandemic policies, telework may be an option for certain eligible positions. Eligible positions are determined by the type of work and job requirements of the position, as defined by heads of agencies.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn the functional area of Human Resources Information Systems for the collection and reporting of data.
  • Ability to apply principles and practices in support of federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Ability to provide accurate and timely analysis of a variety of data in support of human resource compliance and service delivery.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel
  • Education, training, and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
  • Demonstrated experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting on data.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in human resource services is preferred.
