Basic Purpose
Serve as a Business Partner to designated client groups, by understanding and aligning organizational and business strategy with human capital strategy. Formulate partnerships throughout the organization and across the HR function to deliver value-added consulting and integrated solutions to leadership and employees that reflect Navy Federal’s overall goals, strategies, mission, vision and culture.
Responsibilities
- In partnership and support of AVP, Principal and/or Sr HR Business Partners, engage in organizational effectiveness efforts with assigned Business Units by consulting on human capital solutions for business challenges
- Assist in the development, iteration and execution of proactive short term and long-term human capital strategies with designated client groups - one which is connected to company, business, and HR team objectives
- Support assigned Business areas leadership teams of client organizations, work with leaders and engage in planning and strategy meetings to ensure business needs translate to HR strategy
- Understand the vision, purpose, and strategy of the business and how this creates and aligns with our HR strategy
- As a steward of positive employee experiences, effectively understand the “moments that matter” to our employee segments, and leverage these insights to identify ways to improve the employee experience
- Analyze and interpret data to enable HR Business Partner team to leverage data to make informed human capital decisions as well as influence the business, helping to elevate Navy Federal’s employment brand and distinct culture
- Partner with the broader HR team to identify needs, and use existing resources in creative ways
- Drive executional excellence and change management to broad based initiatives including talent reviews, inclusion and diversity, workforce planning, talent analytics, and overall process improvements
- Interpret and guide Business Unit leadership to ensure policies, procedures, and employment laws and regulations are being applied fairly, equitably, and consistently
- Participate in smaller scale projects and cross-functional business initiatives/projects, providing insight on people-related matters
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training, education, and Experience
- Ability to translate business strategy into people strategy, programs and initiatives, then lead the execution of the programs
- Proven experience and desire to serve in a consultative capacity to business leaders, shaping strategy, goals and alignment
- Experience in Human Resources with broad knowledge and experience in human resource management with clear accountabilities and delivery-focused
- Exposure to transforming human capital strategies in partnership with the business
- Ability to identify new opportunities where Human Resources can add value and develop associated plans to incorporate ideas into the business
- Advanced knowledge of the relationships between HR Centers of Excellence and HR Business Partner model
- Ability to analyze and interpret business metrics and people analytics to development action plans and ensure successful implementation
- Familiarity with change management and organizational development strategies in order to influence and assist organizational change initiatives
- Strong project management skills: planning, organizing, orchestrating, advanced communication, meeting management, agenda development, and superior follow-through
- Advanced problem solving, critical thinking, able to identify root cause / central question, identify variables and considerations
- Understand complex situations and develop integrated solutions
Desired Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Master's Degree or other advanced degree Human Resources Management, Finance or a related field, or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
- Technology and Financial Services industry experience
- Professional Human Resource certification
HR Business Partner II
Serve as a Business Partner to designated client groups, by understanding and aligning organizational and business strategy with human capital strategy. Formulate partnerships throughout the organization and across the HR function to deliver value-added consulting and integrated solutions to leadership and employees that reflect Navy Federal’s overall goals, strategies, mission, vision, and culture.
Responsibilities

- Support AVP, Principal and/or Sr HR Business Partners in completing behind the scenes work on complex situations

- Operate in a key role with Business Unit leadership teams, working with leaders and engaging in planning and strategy meetings to ensure business needs translate to HR strategy

- Help develop integrated solutions for a BU or cross-functional team
- Develop recommendations on decisions, actions and develop or inform a plan for moving forward

- Ability to analyze and interpret business metrics and people analytics to development action plans and ensure successful implementation
- Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring less experienced team members, providing guidance on making sound long and short-term business decisions
- Familiarity with change management and organizational development strategies to influence and assist organizational change initiatives
- Strong project management skills: planning, organizing, orchestrating, advanced communication, meeting management, agenda development, and superior follow-through
- Advanced problem solving, critical thinking, able to identify root cause / central question, identify variables and considerations.

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report on-site 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting on-site will ultimately be determined by the employee's leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and on boarding process.
Salary Range: Level I $74,400- $127,200 annually Level II $85,500 - $146,300 annually
Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range, based on your experience, location and market position.
