Position: HR Operations Analyst

Availability: will be mostly remote; but candidates need to be local to Allentown, PA if needed to be onsite

Location: Allentown, PA

Education: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in analytics, informatics, computer science, programming, HRIS, or business applications.

Job Summary

The purpose of the HR Operations Analyst is to provide HR with analytical, functional, compliance, and business process expertise for HR and its customers. This position plays a lead role in maintaining and enhancing HR processes and consults with customers to drive solutions and within the HR landscape. The HR Operations Analyst supports and maintains HR applications, structure, processes and procedures to deliver programs to Corporate HR and our business segments. In this role, the analyst supports functional testing of HR system changes, troubleshooting, approving HR security requests and functional helpdesk support.

Job Responsibilities

1. Promotes and supports new or improved business processes by participating in strategic planning and driving solutions and assisting in implementation of HR applications and processes.

2. Delivers HR compliance program and completes regulatory review for PPL, including annual regulatory reporting to meet federal, state and local requirements.

3. Manages and produces HR metrics.

4. Manages HR security for access to HR information and reports.

5. Understands critical business needs and problems of the business. Advocates business solutions and/or initiatives that will move the business closer to achieving its vision, mission, and strategic goals.

6. Maintains an awareness of business process and technology trends and changes. Promotes and supports solutions that will add value and contribute to the success of PPL.

7. Provides diagnosis, analysis, and resolution of business problems. Develops alternative approaches to solving problems and meeting customer needs.

8. Leads the functional analysis, testing, and migration of new or upgraded products and technologies.

9. Provides in-depth expertise and support, including production support for various HR functional areas (e.g. Recruiting, Compensation, Talent Management, Payroll, Security, Benefits, etc.).

10. May directly or indirectly supervise a small group of individual contributors.

11. Manages HR projects for successful delivery coordinating HR staff and resources outside of HR as required to deliver changes.

12. May be assigned a storm role for the utility. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.

13. The company reserves the right to determine if this position will be assigned to work on-site, remotely, or a combination of both. Assigned work location may change. In the case of remote work, physical presence in the office/on-site may be required to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers.

Basic Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in analytics, informatics, computer science, programming, HRIS, or business applications.

2. 2 years of experience in an operational function supporting HR business analysis and process design.

3. Experience with Oracle Cloud HCM or similar HR enterprise application suite.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Project management experience.

2. Professional Certification in a technical or business area.

3. Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.

4. Knowledge of various reporting tools such as: Oracle OTBI, Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite, SQL language.

5. Implementation experience from PeopleSoft HCM to Oracle Cloud HCM.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
