- Reports to the Director, Benefits and HRIS. Responsibilities include acting as the Functional Systems Administrator for Beacon’s Talent and Learning System, the Oracle Cloud/HCM Cloudplatform and the API Active Staffer scheduling system. Assists with various projects as needed.

Job Responsibility
- Serves as the Functional Systems Administrator for the Beacon Talent and Learning System (BTL).
- Serves as the Lead role on BTL system needs. Works with others on the HR team, IS, and third party vendors as needed to build, test, and troubleshoot the system to meet the needs of the organization.
- Works with content creators for computer based learnings (CBLs) to update and maintain.
- Serves as the Lead of the CBL Steering Committee; Initiates meetings, agendas, and communication between Steering Committee members.
- Builds curriculum through report analysis’ in BTL for all associates to be assigned for CBLs.
- Liaison with 3rd party vendors when modules are purchased to test, build curriculum, and upload into the BTL system for assignments.
- Participates in education and training opportunities as needed/available to maintain and enhance knowledge of the platform, so that they are able to utilize all features of the platform, including but not limited to o creatingclasses, recording attendance, report creation, and checking compliance.
- Run compliance reports when requested.
Assists as the Functional Systems Administrator for the API Active Staffer scheduling system by:
- Entering and modifying activity codes, coverage sets, assignment tables and permission assignments.
- Assists with Staffing & Scheduling projects within ActiveStaffer.
- Building new departments' indicators and parameters.
- Applying the Escalation Policy in the event of a systems problem.
- Setting up security for associates as needed for Scheduling and Payroll access.
- Assisting with initiating and testing of software upgrades in conjunction with I/S.
In conjunction with the HRIS Specialist, performs other tasks as assigned, including:
- Serves as a back-up for assigned duties within the responsibility of the HRIS Specialist (i.e. PeopleSoft corrections and trouble shooting).
- Participating in the annual Open Enrollment project as needed.
- Participating in any HRIS upgrades including writing scripts, testing new versions and working with the Information Systems department as needed.
- Creating and finalizing various HR training materials
- Communicating issues and recommending process changes to manager as appropriate.
- Assisting Benefits Manager in performing different jobs to pull data out of the system to run different reports.
- Performs other functions to maintain personal competence and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department by:
- Update state required licenses for associates in the PeopleSoft system.
- Generates and distributes various monthly reports as requested.
- Assists with the integration of the annual United Way contributions into the payroll system.
- Maintains the hierarchy structure in all platforms needed.
- Maintaining good working relationships with all System and Hospital departments.
- Communicating with the Manager when there are potential problems regarding deadlines, etc.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge regarding the Department's day-to-day operations. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of activities in the Payroll area.
- Acting as a liaison with Payroll and Information Systems staff as necessary.
- Participating on System and Hospital committees as required.
- Completing other job-related assignments and special projects as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Education and Experience
- The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of an Associate's Degree in Business or a related field, Bachelor's Degree preferred. Three to five years of human resources or information systems experience is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong human resource computer applications background.
Knowledge & Skills
- Requires a thorough working knowledge of Human Resources policies/procedures, practices and programs.
- Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills (i.e., data entry, word processing, spreadsheets and database applications). Requires well-developed knowledge of computer systems and human resource applications. Also requires a basic understanding of the internet and intranet.
- Experience with HR/Payroll platforms such as ADP, WorkDay, Oracle HCM, etc. Experience with PeopleSoft would be helpful.
- Requires solid math skills.
- Demonstrates the interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary to interact effectively and positively and communicate in a clear and concise manner with the staff at all levels and with individuals from outside the organization. Also requires the ability to make presentations and to provide effective training.
- Demonstrates tact, professionalism and flexibility when interacting with a variety of people.
- Demonstrates the ability to ensure confidentiality and use discretion and sound judgment when making decisions and responding to questions and requests for information.
- Requires strong customer service, organization, problem-solving and analytical skills. Also requires attention to details and accuracy.
- A basic understanding of payroll-related activities would be helpful.
Working Conditions
- Works in an office environment with some travel between different sites.
- Work is performed in a fast-paced environment requiring the ability to prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines.

- Requires the physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position.
