A newly created role for a resort sitting on 12 acres to include a Hotel, Restaurant, Spa and event outlets.
SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Vice President this role is responsible for recruiting, hiring, employee relations, performance, and benefits.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws.
· Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to support the organization's goals and objectives.
· Manage employee relations, including conducting investigations and mediating disputes.
· Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR issues and assist with performance management.
· Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws.
· Maintain and update employee records and assist corporate with payroll processing.
· Develop and manage employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
· Plan and coordinate employee events and programs to promote a positive work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
· A minimum of 2 years of experience in HR, with experience in Hospitality preferred.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
· Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
· Able to work collaboratively with team members and management in a busy and complex environment using tact, diplomacy, and discipline.
