Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Associate Executive Director/C.O.O., performs and oversees human-resources administration functions such as employment processing, maintenance of personnel records and reviewing and processing requests for personnel actions. Coordinates job analysis processes to determine proper classification and prepare new or revised job descriptions. Coordinates the maintenance and analysis of human resource automated systems, files, records, and reports. Prepares or oversees the preparation and maintenance of various human resources correspondence and reports. Assists in planning, developing, and implementing human resource policies and procedures. Monitors the agency for compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Conducts workforce analysis and executes workforce plans and recruitment and retention strategies. Counsels staff on issues, and explains rules, policies, and regulations related to human resource management. Responsible for administering employee benefits, employee relations, wage surveys, and enforcement of personnel procedures and policies. Assists hiring departments with posting job vacancies and processing of applications. Expedites hiring through efficient scheduling of pre-employment screening events and post-selection tests and verifications. Conducts new hire orientations, enters new hire information into the database, and ensures that all personnel and leave records follow all applicable laws and regulations. Tracks and oversees position description evaluations as required, FMLA processing, monthly wage increases, and completing employee transfer paperwork. Performs necessary actions for terminating employees.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration/Management or related field.
Experience: Must possess at least two years of professional work experience, preferably in Human Resources or related field. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, must possess strong customer service skills, and must possess strong organizational skills.
Must have a valid Texas driver’s license, a good driving record for the past 3 years and a valid auto insurance card.
Must be able to ben, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, lift at least 25 pounds, reach overhead.
