ABOUT THIS ROLE:
In this role, you will supervise 8 eligibility staff who are responsible for managing ongoing SNAP and Medicaid cases. This team is responsible for redetermining eligibility at renewal, interim report, and when changes are reported. You will be responsible for monitoring the caseload and work of the team to ensure eligibility decisions are made timely and accurately. The ideal candidate will have experience supervising a team of eligibility professionals You will also be responsible for helping them adapt to frequent changes and shifting priorities. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to work in a high-volume environment, with competing deadlines and the ability to supervise their team while working collaboratively with other members of the Division’s management team to serve public assistance customers. Experience in determining eligibility for SNAP and Medicaid in Virginia using VaCMS is a must.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or G.E.D. and 7 years of related experience.

PREFERENCES:


  • Experience supervising staff who determine eligibility for SNAP and Medicaid in Virginia using VaCMS.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: 37.5 hours per week M-F. Telework

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: All Social Services staff members are required to provide emergency human services work in the event of an emergency or disaster.

ENTRY SALARY RANGE: $79,009.00 - $113,896 Annually
