Position: Supervisor Austin

Reports to: Project Manager

Salary: $25-$35/Hour DOQ (including experience and location)

General Job Description:

The Supervisor will be responsible for oversight of HVAC installation – including material management and labor supervision - on assigned projects in a certain geographic area including management and supervision of sub-contractors on multi-family HVAC construction.

Responsibilities:

• Contact for job in the field.
• Communicate with GC and trade supervisors.
• Oversee sub-contractor crews installing HVAC systems by planning and scheduling daily activities and make inform subs.
• Manage quality of installation.
• Manage material releases and flow and maintain the schedule of the project.
• Manage material and make sure on-site when needed.
• Minimize/prevent back charges in the field and communicate with PM on potential CO’s needed.
• Maintain safety on the job site and maintain clean and organized job site.
• Layout openings and mark apartment units for subs.
• Review sub draws.
• Train Assistant Supervisors as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Previous experience in HVAC or other related fields
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Intermediate computer experience including Dropbox or other construction related document storage program.
• Ability to work in high stress environment with tight deadlines with a calm demeanor.

Required qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Previous experience supervising large construction projects and subcontractors.
• 3+ years of HVAC experience in a supervisory role.
• Proficient in reading plans, drawings, and submittals.

Desired qualifications:

• Other related HVAC experience.
• Bilingual (preferred)

Essential Physical Functions:

• Climbing: Ascending or descending stairs.
• Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
• Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
• Subject to outside environmental conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat for extended periods of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
