Official Position Description:
Managers assigned DriveOhio project(s), with or without sub-projects, that covers all phases of project management, with activities & responsibilities resting primarily within one given office/program of DriveOhio & whose primary stakeholders are management, staff &/or end users, directs delivery (i.e., does not require direct involvement of, but may be overseen by, higher-level authority of agency executives &/or political group) to end user/client (e.g., agency employees, outside agency, public customer) for operation/use, monitoring & modification of delivery to end user, assists in writing policy, directs, implements & monitors policy & ensures compliance, interprets federal & state laws & regulations, makes recommendations & modifications to facilitate end user compliance to policy, establishes procedures/guidelines for policy compliance, oversees implementation schedule, develops &/or directs development & implementation of planning document(s) (e.g., resources, specific assignments). Uses computer & related software (Microsoft Office) to deliver presentations to educate stakeholders and the public, gather feedback, & coordinate the integration of DriveOhio¿s projects with regional & statewide planning processes (e.g. Transportation Improvement Plans; Access Ohio; Statewide Freight Plan & advisory Council; Ohio Frieght Rail Plan; ODOT Statewide Safety Plan).
Serves as project lead on multiple phases of Turnkey Electric Vehicle Charging Station Installation, Operation & Maintenance (manages consultant contracts for administration of NEVI grant); serves as DriveOhio Electric Vehicle Program liaison with Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPOs), local governments, & adjacent state Departments of Transportation (DOTs); coordinates with state & local construction projects that impact vehicle infrastructure; defines electric vehicle project requirements, quality standards & timelines; determines & evaluates risks that may affect project; defines specific activities to be performed to produce project deliverables; evaluates deliverables & ensures project is ready to move on to its next phases. Serves as representative for DriveOhio in public forums (e.g., Mid America Association of State Transportation Officials EV Committee; AASHTO EV Practitioner Working Groups); attends meetings, conferences, &/or workshops on related topics.
Position designated Career Professional per Section 5501.20
- Or 3 yrs. exp. in project management (i.e., management & development of project/program requirements, design, development, testing/pilot, training & full scale implementation), with experience to be commensurate with project/program &/or position description on file (e.g., specific human service program area, management information sciences, fiscal); 12 mos. exp. in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects.

All bargaining unit and exempt new hires to ODOT must serve a one year probationary period.
This position is overtime eligible per FLSA Standards.
If this position is filled internally, the wage rate will be determined in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code.
This position has been designated as a Career Professional position per the Ohio Revised Code 5501.20.
