About the Opportunity
An IMIT/OPOR Manager, reports to an IMIT/OPOR Director, and oversees a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of initiatives and programs throughout the province as the organization moves towards the rationalization of disparate systems and the OPOR strategy.
The IMIT/OPOR Manager will be committed to a high standard of performance and will provide support across the organization to leverage IT applications in support of the NSHA’s and its clients strategic mission, vision and goals. The IMIT/OPOR Manager performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, coordination of resources and stakeholders; managing timelines and milestones; documenting outcomes; and, monitoring, summarizing and communicating the progress of activities to the appropriate leadership team members. Additionally, this management position ensures that all activities within their responsible area are supported by the NSHA IM/IT and OPOR business plan, established policies/procedures, and in line with service level agreements between NSHA, IWK and the department of health. The IMIT/OPOR manager would also function in a senior subject matter expert role within the team.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Undergraduate degree. Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and minimum of 10 years progressive leadership experience
- Master’s degree an asset, particularly in health administration, leadership, masters of business administration.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ leadership experience with IT/IM Services, programs and applications.
- IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Project Management Professions (PMO) and/or organizational change management certification an asset.
- Certified Health Executive (CHE) and/or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) designation an asset.
- Knowledge and skills in the areas of IM/IT tools, applications and systems of support.
- Experience supporting clinical application systems and related services in a complex health care organizational environment considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of health care issues
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in leading teams of staff with indirect accountabilities to other operational units
- Ability to develop and establish financial policies and procedures
- Excellent verbal, written communication and influencing skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Compensation and Incentives
$42.63 - $53.29 Hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
